Budhia Singh races ahead of Michael Mishra on Day 1

Day 1 collections of 3 films that released yesterday -- Fever, Budhia Singh – Born to Run and The Legend Of Michael Mishra -- are here and the verdict is clear.
Budhia…, directed by Soumendra Padhi, is the winner with a total collection of Rs 23 lakh. While Manish Jha’s The Legend… comes second by netting Rs 17.5 lakh, Fever, directed by Rajeev Jhaveri, finishes last with just Rs 14 lakh.
Budhia… is a biopic of wonder boy Budhia Singh, who ran 48 marathons when he was merely 5 years old. Apart from the title character essayed by Mayur Patole, the film also has Manoj Bajpayee in a pivotal role -- as the child athlete’s coach Biranchi Das.
The Legend… stars Arshad Warsi and Aditi Rao Hydari as the lead pair. It also features Boman Irani and his son Kayoze in important roles. The quirky comedy has been panned by the critics as well.
Fever has an interesting cast -- Rajeev Khandelwal, Gauahar Khan, Gemma Atkinson, Victor Banerjee and Caterina Murino. However, the suspense thriller, which revolves around a contract killer who loses his memory in an accident, failed to create ripples at the box-office. The film was shot in the picturesque locales of Switzerland.
